The Holiday get-together in my family is over. Relatives from Michigan went back to their home towns this morning and it was sad. I hate these kinds of moments because after all the fun and company, it just becomes silent and boring, like food without flavor. All the excitement has gone and you just want to soak yourself in the "hangover" feeling that you get.
The holidays were fun. Christmas was not as fun as I expected it to be but it was still good. New Year's Eve was a bummer since everyone "overslept" or decided to go to bed rather that do the countdown, though some had the effort to stay awake or wake up at exactly midnight. Plans were made but were not followed due to weather conditions (or is it?) and some minor (mhmm) concerns.
This just taught me one thing: be a good host when it comes to gatherings. Having plans for activities is such a great idea as long as you know how to follow it. It takes a lot of work but it will be worth it.
I also had a heart-to-heart talk with someone and we shared something about the concept of negativity and superficiality.
And I celebrated my 20th Birthday three days ago (Happy Birthday to me!) I feel old... but I'm gonna talk about that in some blog post in the future.
If I were to conclude this past holiday event, I would say that I was disappointed and it was a little uneventful but still fun because of the people I spent it with.
Oh... and I got rehired for my job so it's a big booster for my holiday.
